Among the five basic needs of human beings, healthcare is one of the most crucial. Ensuring access to healthcare is vital for the development and progress of a nation. This is why the government has formulated the National Health Policy, aiming to establish healthcare as a fundamental right for all citizens in accordance with the constitution and international agreements. To make healthcare services accessible to the people, the government has established specialized hospitals, district hospitals, upazila health complexes, and community clinics. However, due to the shortage of skilled manpower, the government has not been able to achieve its desired goals. Therefore, there is a need to further expand allied health courses alongside medical doctors to strengthen the health sector. In this regard, under the Saic Group and Rajshahi Medical University, Saic College of Health Science in Rajshahi has been established in 2025, opening new avenues in B.Sc in Optometry, B.Sc. in Physiotherapy and B.Sc. in Laboratory Medicine education.
